Piedmont Driving Club

Founded in 1887, Piedmont Driving Club is the oldest and one of the most prestigious in Atlanta. The building complex started with a single original stone farmhouse that was subsequently expanded a number of times by multiple architects including Atlanta’s premier classicists, Neil Reid and Philip Trammell Shutze. They left behind significant facades and signature interior spaces that remain intact today, despite continued change. With great sensitivity to these significant historic spaces, Choate + Hertlein has been working with the Piedmont Driving Club on renovations and expansions from 2005 through today.
